We are a Calgary-based, adult educational institution that can offer you accelerated professional and pre-career programs. An accelerated program will help you to get to that career goal faster than a traditional full-term university or college program. In addition, we offer most of our programs on a continuous intake basis throughout the year, which means you don’t have to wait for 6 months or longer for a new semester to start so you can begin your studies and move towards your new career.
“A student can enter most of our professional programs, and earn their one year academic certificate in six months and continue and earn their two year academic diploma in another six months, for a total of one year,” says Heather Bergl, Unit Supervisor for Communications at Columbia. “In traditional institutions, it would take one year for each, so we really emphasize to potential students that they can be out of college faster, move into their new career sooner and be earning a better income sooner.”
