We offer a variety of undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs, all designed by leading authorities from the most respected universities in the world, accessible at your convenience. In March 1999, Jones International University received formal institutional accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission, a member of the North Central Association, an accrediting body for institutions of higher education in the United States. Please fill out our Information Request Form for more information. Q. What is an Academic Advisor? A. Your Academic Advisor is assigned to you when you are admitted as a JIU student. Your Academic Advisor is often the Academic Chair of your specific program. Your letter of admission specifies the name of your advisor. Please fill out our Information Request Form for more information. Q. Will I Receive Training in How to Take On-Line Courses? A. A week before the start of your class JIU Instructional Coordinator will contact you by e-mail about your participation in JIU Student Orientation. During the Orientation you will receive a lot of information about how JIU courses work, about your faculty, online resources as well as detailed training in using course Web pages and discussion forums. Students may transfer up to 15 credits at the undergraduate level (equivalent to 5 courses), or up to 9 credits at the graduate level (equivalent to 3 courses) through Credit for Prior Learning evaluation.
