The
MBA Tour is visiting Canada for the first time at the end of
October and offers an explanation for the confusion with the
World MBA Tour (coming to Toronto at the end of September).
The similarity in names have people thinking they are one in
the same. While the names are similar, the fairs are
distinctively different. The MBA Tour, which launches in
Vancouver October 30, Toronto November 1 and Montreal
November 2, offers visitors unique activities including
roundtable/ panel discussions for tips on successful
admissions, easy access to admissions officers and keynote
speakers (Geoff Molson, VP Customer Marketing and Events,
Molson Canada, in Montreal, Tim Cork, President, NEXcareer
in Toronto. The details about the Vancouver guest speaker
are currently being finalized. Admission to all events is
free.

The MBA Tour Expands to Canada
Canada is seen as an untapped market for universities around the
world. Canadians are seen as unique because they often speak
more than one language, are educated, and are comfortable in a
multicultural environment. The choices for Canadian students are
expanding as b schools respond to businesses' preference for
international trade and international business acumen.
In 2005 alone, over 6,300 Canadians took the GMAT, the Graduate
Management Admissions Test, a prerequisite for most MBA
programs. Canada is third globally following the United States
with 135,626 and India with 7,206 GMAT takers.
Canada is one of the 28 countries globally in which The MBA Tour
hosts 43 recruitment conferences for the top business schools
and prospective students.
