Metalworks Institute, a leader in audio recording and production training, and associated with world famous Metalworks Studios, has become the first authorized ProSchool in Eastern Canada and is now home to the largest Digidesign board in the world.

Students Receive Practical Instruction on One of the World’s Largest ICON Systems at Metalworks

Mississauga, Ontario (August 10, 2005) Metalworks Institute of Sound and Music Production is pleased to announce its recent authorization to become Digidesign’s first Pro School partner for Eastern Canada. Metalworks will be offering all levels of the Digidesign-authorized courses, from Pro Tools 101 to Pro Tools 310M and 310P. Students will learn Pro Tools and ICON, with the ability to achieve official Pro Tools certification. Students will also have the opportunity to learn on one of the largest ICON systems in the world featuring an 80-fader D-Control Console and full-blown Pro Tools|HD Accel system.

“Digidesign ICON was an easy choice for us,” enthused Metalworks owner Gil Moore. “Our engineers and instructors liked the traditional feel of the work surface, but were really excited about this console from an operational viewpoint. It is generations ahead of other digital desks.”

Digidesign is also working with Metalworks to offer an annual scholarship award for outstanding achievement by a student in the area of Pro Tools.
